Parminder Lally, Daniel Mellon and Nicola Shambler join TLIP

Parminder Lally is an associate attorney at TLIP and prior to joining the patent profession completed a MSci in Physics and a D.Phil in Physics/DNA Nanotechnology: “Construction of a Synthetic Ribosome using DNA as the Building Material”, University of Oxford. She is also Honorary Secretary of the CIPA Informals, the student body of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys. Parminder will manage patent portfolios in a variety of fields including display devices, MEMs, printing, algorithms and software, biotechnology and bioinformatics and mechanical inventions.
Daniel Mellon is a trainee patent attorney at TLIP with a wealth of commercial IP experience in technology transfer, due-diligence, freedom to operate and licensing. Daniel has a technical background arising from a MSci in Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry (University of Bristol). In 2012, Daniel published an academic paper “Radiative absorption enhancements due to the mixing state of atmospheric black carbon” in Science.
Nicola Shambler is a legal secretary and paralegal with 14 years’ experience in IP. She has organised attorney caseloads for contentious patent disputes, due-diligence, transactional work and patent filings in UK, Europe and beyond. Comfortable working in a range of technologies from electronics through to biotech she will add experience and know-how to the attorney support team.
