The UK IPO and EPO plan to remain open for business during the coronavirus outbreak. We at TLIP will be maintaining open dialogue with the patent offices to ensure we do everything we can to keep things running smoothly and to meet any upcoming deadlines.
TLIP joined researchers from the Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine for their second Impact and Innovation Conference. Dr Lisa Brown was on hand to share her experience of the role of IP in commercialising spin-out companies.
Although the UK may not be part of the Unitary Patent, TLIP European Patent Attorneys remain ready to represent USA based, UK based and indeed all our client’s interests if and when it comes into operation. TLIP has offices in Cambridge, Leeds and Dublin and importantly Rights of Audience of TLIP European Patent Attorneys are unaffected by the Government’s decision. British companies and SMEs will still have the benefit of TLIP representation when litigating in the UPC.
