In 2016, TLIP opened a client meeting hub at DCU Alpha, a research-intensive innovation campus at Dublin City University dedicated to inspiring the development of future technologies.
Establishing a presence at Dublin City University is something of a homecoming for TLIP. Both founder Directors and shareholders of TLIP, Alex Turnbull and Paul Lynch are alumni of DCU. Alex studied Applied Physics as part of a European funded Erasmus scholarship, whereas Paul Lynch completed a degree in Electronic Engineering.
Commenting on the move, Alex Turnbull said, “It was always the plan to do something in Dublin, and everyone at DCU Alpha has been very welcoming. As ex-alumni, DCU was the place we wanted to start our Irish adventure. We are already providing IP clinics in Dublin and in time we expect the client meeting hub to grow into a staffed office”. Paul Lynch said, “Being from Ireland originally, it is great to be back working with the best of innovation in Ireland. With Brexit on the horizon, this move also consolidates TLIP’s roots in the European Union”.
